In this report, an analysis of the total denim fabric exports (which is over 529,000 sq mtrs) from Ecuador in the period from January – April 2020 has been done. The report contains the quantity exported by leading denim fabric buyers of Ecuador along with the average price. The countries which imported the fabrics in the country have also been featured with all the details and analytics. Vicunha Ecuador is the only exporter in Ecuador and
no other exporter is there from this time period. The content of this report is as follows :

Denim Importing Countries

Major imports of denim fabrics in Ecuador during the month of January to April , 2020 came from Colombia, Mexico and Chile. Out of total imports, 28% came from Colombia, 20% from Mexico and about 18 % from Chile and the rest came from other countries including El Salvador, Brazil, Peru, and Gautemala. Colombia imported approx 1.48 lacs sqm of denim fabrics and Mexico imported approx 1.04 lacs sqm of denim fabrics at an average price of $1.8/sqm and $1.45/sqm respectively. Chile imported the fabrics at the most expensive average prices of $1.81/sqm and El Salvador at the least expensive at $0.77/sqm.

Leading Buyers
INDUSTRIAS TOPAZ and VICUNHA MEXICO S.A. or are two major buyers companies which had imported over 25% (collectively) of total denim fabrics imported during the month of January – April 2020. INDUSTRIAS TOPAZ imported approx. 74,690 sqm (14.1%) at an average price of $0.64/sqm and VICUNHA MEXICO S.A. imported approx 73,871 sqm (13.9%) at an average price of $1.4/sqm. COMERCIALIZADORA ARTURO imported the denim fabric at the most expensive average price of $2.83/sqm.
