COUNTRY WISE DENIM EXPORTS SEPT 2020
There are 8 major countries from where Vietnam imported approx. 97% of its total denim import. 70% of denim imported from China at an average price of $2.99/meter, other countries which are exporting denim to Vietnam include Pakistan, Korea, and Japan. Vietnam imported 5.3 million meters of denim during Jan-April 2020 at an average price of $3.12/meter.
Note: This figure is likely to be much higher as the full data is normally not captured in the figures recd from various authorities.
Turkey exported the denim at the most expensive average price of $5.82/meter and Hong Kong exported at the cheapest average price of $2.77/meter.

COMPANY WISE DENIM EXPORTS TO VIETNAM
So far as the leading denim suppliers are concerned, During the period of Jan-April 20202, the top two denim suppliers were as below:
- CRYSTAL APPAREL LIMITED – Total Denim imported was 9.14 lacs meters at an average price of $2.90/m. The total share in export is 17.25%. Crystal Apparel exported denim from Bangladesh, China, and Taiwan mills.
- ADVANCE DENIM LIMITED – Total Denim imported was 2.96 lacs meters at an average price of $4.46/m. The total share in export is 4.75%. Most of the fabric bought by Saitex and PPJ Vietnam.
AURELIA APPARELS LIMITED supplied the fabrics at the least average price of $2.28/m and ADVANCE DENIM at the most expensive price of $4.46/m.

Leading Fabric Buyers
So far as the leading denim buyers are concerned, During the period of Jan-April 20202, the top four denim buyers are as below:
- SAITEX: Total denim was bought by Saitex was 5.39 lacs meters at an average price of $5.10/m. Advance Denim(China), Artistic Milliners(Pakistan), Kilim Denim(Turkey), and Sanko (Turkey) are the main suppliers for SAITEX.
- Vietnam Yi Da Company Limited: Total denim was bought by Vietnam Yi Da was 5.04 lacs meters at an average price of $3.03/meter. All the denim supplied to Vietnam Yi Da by Crystal Apparels.
- International Phong Phu Corporation(PPJ): PPJ bought 4.20 lacs meters at an average price of $3.45/meter. Advance Denim, Artistic Milliners, Foshan Lisheng Textile, Kipas Textile, and Prosperity were some of the major suppliers to PPJ.
- Long Binh ICD Tan Cang: The company imported 2.91 lacs meter at an average price of $3.48/meter. All the fabrics were bought from Shargatex Luxury Denim/Chu Hang: Y H Texpert Corporation.
