Water<Lessâ„¢ – Levi’s® Water<Lessâ„¢ finishing reduces the amount of water used in the making of Levi’s® jeans for men and women. Levi’s has been using the Water<Less finish in many of its international collections and showing its commitment to eco friendly technologies by using them in Indian collections. Last Fall it did more than 12 million jeans created with Water Less processing.
Levi’s® Commuter – Ride, live, and work in the same pair of jeans. Designed for the urban cyclist, our Commuter jeans feature a Levi’s® exclusive performance fabric in stretch, midweight denim that incorporates water-resistant and dirt-repellent NanoSphere® protective finish as well as an odor-resistant Sanitized® protective finish
Coated, Stretch, Light-weight denim – In leggings for women
Range of Rinse Stretch Twill – Pants for men and skinny jeans for women
Workwear – Crisp blue and light grey rigid denim, white contrast stitching, and workwear inspired details in vests and jeans for men.
The men’s collection offers classic yet contemporary head-to-toe looks built around refined styles with sharp clean aesthetics, tailored to perfection. The key item for men this season is the reconstructed classic 5-pocket jean. The jean, first introduced by Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis in 1873, has evolved through the years improving with age. Driven by a commitment to craftsmanship, this fall, the brand will re-introduce the classic 5-pocket jean with a host of upgraded features.
The overall style of the women’s collection is classic and refined with a clean, tailored aesthetic and pronounced femininity. The key silhouette for women this season is the Bootcut Skinny, which the Levi’s® brand claims to have completely reinvented and is a sexy, modern skinny fit .
In addition to the Bootcut Skinny, the brand is launching a feminine tailored dress collection. These tastefully crafted garments give a subtle nod to the idea of femininity but thoughtfully leave it open for interpretation. The Levi’s® Dress Collection includes several new denim and non-denim dress styles in a variety of fabrications including light, effortless knits, cotton-linens and soft chambrays.
Paige Denim’s Fall 2012 Collection, is inspired by the possibilities and excitement of traveling. Drawing from intellectual, cultural, and
artistic influences, the Fall 2012 Collection introduces new fashion silhouettes, new non-denim fabrics, and wash treatments .
Key Trends
Textured washes and colors are key trends this fall.
Innovative wash techniques are utilized on both men’s and women’s denim ranging from art-inspired prints for women and oil based washes for men.
Fall’s styles for women include prints ranging from leaf, feather, and paisley designs as well as hand splattered and heavily coated denim.
The women’s line also offers deeply saturated hues in bodies adorned with zippers at the hips and side seams.
The men’s line embodies a modern heritage with updated fits, rich colors, and vintage-inspired washes.
Fall introduces new men’s fits such as the Lincoln and
Stanford, a slouchy tapered leg, available in both five-pocket and chino bodies.
Paige continues to offer a paint box of twill colors and introduces for fall a unique oil wash collection.
Prints and Color denim are two trends that are the most visible in the collections of most brands- and it seems that these trends are likely to continue for some time.
Bold colors and innovative prints are center of Urban Outfitters latest denim offerings for men’s. Over 77 new printed and colored denim styles are offered.Along with the core blue and black washes, Urban’s new range of denim focuses on moving color forward, with a broad array of Autumnal colors (eggplant, pine, wine, and ocean blue). Beyond color there are a plethora of fresh-out-of-the-box prints, including geometric ikats and florals, with unique detailing like embroidery and studs. The collection also explores its animalistic side, with feather, snake, horse and cheetah prints in multiple shades.
The new collection is available in one of two signature fits — the Twig and the Cigarette.
The Twig fit comes in both mid-rise and high-rise inseams, and features an ultra-skinny leg.
The Cigarette fit has a slim leg opening, and is also available in mid- and high-rise inseams.

Nudie Jeans, the famous denim brand from Sweden , does it again with a unique denim collection for the Fall Winter 2012 with complete collection made of Organic Denim.

Here are some styles and pieces from this Organic Denim Collection. Most of the fabrics used by Nudie Jeans are from Turkey and some from Japan and Italy.. The weights range from 9 oz to 13.5 oz.
Mavi is one of the fastest growing brands in denim . Originating from Turkey, the brand has made its mark in the competitive markets of US and EUROPE . The company is growing at a fast rate – about 40% last year in Europe – a blistering pace compared to the economic scenario. The company sold close to 3 million pairs of jeans in 2011 – a figure almost 3 times that in 2009.
The new collections of Mavi invite interested views from the industry as it seeks to bring out new concepts and directions. Lets have a look at their Fall / Winter 2012 denim – men’s and women’s. Both collections make liberal use of T400 yarn fabrics and of course regular elastanes. Coated denims seem to be a preference in both the collections as well as suedes .

Men’s denim also see new variations in Indigo cords, suedes , coated denims and of course, the rust colors .
Diesel Spring Fall Winter 2012 menswear collection is a continuation of the preview collection and its themes of portworker and “The thin line between old and new.â€
Here are some excerpts on what Diesel has to say for their Fall Men’s Collection :
“Early Fall sees tobacco and different shades of indigo predominate. Indigo is used for denim, as well as treated corduroy pants and jackets, while tobacco sits pretty on a number of different jackets. It all has a touch of the great outdoors, particularly in hybrid boots and light bodywarmers. Not to mention the patterned jacquard knits that create warm, unified style across sweaters, gloves, scarves and hats.â€
Burgundy is the new colour of the season. It is used in a variety of knitwear styles, as well as becoming a new Color Exposure shade for denim: the reverse sides of jeans match the new knitwear. Workwear remains firmly embedded in Diesel’s DNA and naturally denim workwear is key to this collection. Whether treated and untreated, plain or striped, textured or smooth, jeans, utility jackets and overalls treat workwear with the respect it deserves.
For early Winter, indigo is joined by gray and green. A bright, eye-popping green is featured on the delivery’s key piece: unique knickerbockers training pants in patterned knitwear. This idea of making a classic an original – hi-tech performance vintage – is also seen in denim, where grandpa-stripe denim is coated to produce a technical, contemporary workwear look. Outerwear is quite simply premium thanks to a fascinating mix of fabrics, as seen in the hybrid jacket that combines knitwear and fake fur. Winter work apparel is also lined to feel soft and cozy while keeping you warm in the cold. The final part of the collection takes black and redefines it in a variety of different fabrics: leather, denim, shearling and hi-tech nylon. Add a few touches of gray and white to spice things up and you have clothes that are chic and relaxed. For a Winter rock ook, there is leather in tight jackets and slinky pants, for clothes in which you’ll want to strut your stuff. Diesel’s redefinition of what denim can be continues with its Color Exposure D.N.A. denim. Featuring delicate handmade treatments that impregnate deep into the heart of the fabric, the insides of jeans become bright features in themselves – using yarn dyed wefts or simply overdyes. Just slip them on, turn up the leg and you’ve got a whole new world of color in your denim life. Textured Denim: A new approach – and one that will continue in the future – is the use of textured denim, with herringbone, salt&pepper and grandpa stripes, in treated and untreated versions. In the accessory collection is recognizable the strong and vintage Diesel DNA.

On Wednesday, February 15, 2012, , The Levi’s® brand launched its first ever global collection during New York Fashion Week at SoHo’s landmark Mercer 82 event space. During the event – a hybrid between custom-made vignettes featuring pinnacle products from the line and a runway show – the Levi’s® brand showcased the key looks from its Fall/Winter 2012 collection. The key trend for men this season is the tapered look, for a great flattering fit that sits just below the waist, is slouchy on the top and has a slim tailored leg. The colors of indigo seem to have gotten lighter, brighter and shinier . The stitching threads were normally non-contrasting and going along the same shades as the denim or even white. Gently Damaged Textures
Gently aged denim effects were visible via enzyme washing , laundering and over dyeing . Similar looks could be seen in flats also .
Uneven Color :
Irregular dye techniques and exaggerated flock or pile textures create uneven color qualities. Cloudy patinas and washed-out surfaces / Uneven flocking or velvet piles / Corduroy with colored backs / Basket wash cotton and sensor-coated / Random, non-uniform appearances
Red Energy

Casual Checks
Indigo checks have been around for some time. But they come back in different avatars with deep indigo dyed wefts being used.

A key treatment for Fall / Winter 2012 is hardwearing or waxy coatings that offer durability and waterproof performance.
Double Faced Fabrics
Double-faced wool and cashmere in contrasting and complimentary hues update denim and cotton flats for
winter. Denim can be seen in double faced stripes.
