    D&J-Denimsandjeans Vietnam | Post Show Report 2025

    The 7th edition of Denimsandjeans Vietnam, held on June 25–26, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, concluded on a successful note. With this year’s theme, “Future Fit,” the exhibition focused on the evolving landscape of denim where technology, sustainability, and design converge to shape the future of the industry.

    Denim Egypt

    Over two days, the event brought together more than 200 companies and over 850 industry professionals, including leading manufacturers, retailers, sourcing heads, and designers from Vietnam and neighboring regions. The curated, business-focused environment encouraged productive discussions, new business connections, and insight-driven exchanges.

    The exhibition floor featured participation from prominent global and regional names such as, VF Corporation, Target, Walmart, Gap, PVH, Li & Fung, Mavi Jeans, Newtimes Group, Canifa, Yody, Blue Exchange, The Blues, PPJ Group, Crystal Group, Asmara, Dong Minh, Saitex, Saigon 3, SMT Fashions, T&T Group, Solto Industries, Vinatex, and others. Their presence highlighted the growing significance of the Vietnam market in the global denim value chain.

    Trend Area

    This edition introduced an expanded Trend Area, curated around the core theme “Future Fit.” It was divided into five key categories: Smart Denim & Tech-Enhanced Fits , Sustainable & Circular Denim , Future Heritage & Craftsmanship , Functional & Hybrid Denim , Digital & Customization Hub.

    Each section offered insights into new developments in denim construction, finishing, material science, and responsible manufacturing. Attendees had the opportunity to explore product innovations and forward-thinking design concepts aligned with upcoming market demands.

    Denim Bazaar

    The Denim Bazaar returned with a spotlight on boutique and artisanal denim makers. Designed as a B2B zone, it attracted attention from niche brands, sourcing professionals, and designers looking to discover unique, small-scale indigo creations and authentic craftsmanship. The area showcased diverse, limited-run products from local and regional artisans.

    The Denim Bazaar also featured a Lucky Draw exclusively for visitors, offering them the chance to win coupons redeemable for select items showcased by boutique denim brands. All attendees received a Lucky Coupon upon entry, adding an element of excitement and engagement to the B2B experience.

    Denimsandjeans Vietnam – Post Show Report 2024

    The Denimsandjeans Vietnam show, held on June 26-27, 2024, with the theme “ROOM TO ROAM,” was a resounding success. We were honored to host esteemed denim supply chain companies from over 10 countries, showcasing their world-class products. Attendees experienced the forefront of fashion, technology, and innovation presented at the event. The enthusiasm of our partners created a dynamic and vibrant atmosphere for all participants. Special arrangements were made to provide visitors with a wider array of product choices. Additionally, the event featured interactive seminars led by industry experts, further enriching the experience.

    The two-day event in Ho Chi Minh City garnered significant attention from over 250 companies, attracting attendees from neighboring countries as well. With over 650 visitors, primarily buyers due to restricted entry, the event provided an ideal platform for exhibitors and attendees to experience the Denimsandjeans showcase firsthand. It offered an excellent environment for viewing diverse products, discussing strategies, and fostering collaboration among businesses.

    There was no shortage of popular brands and retailers participating in the event and showcasing their products.     Event Theme

    This year, we introduced the innovative theme “ROOM TO ROAM – OVERSIZED DENIM UNVEILED,” showcasing the oversized denim culture with Denimsandjeans in 2024! Room To Roam was a unique blend of baggy fit and loose denim trends.

    Trend Area

    The 6th edition of DnJ Vietnam featured a Trend Area showcasing the “ROOM TO ROAM” theme. The collections on display were categorized into six major groups: Loose Fit Luxe, Traveler’s Wardrobe, Sustainable Roominess, Fiber Room, My Fashionable Room, and a Selvedge Arena. Each category reflected the latest trends and provided customers with insights into fabrics, washes, styles, fibers, and more. The Selvedge Arena highlighted selvedge denim from Japan and other parts of the world.

    Denim Bazaar

    Denimsandjeans also showcased the Denim Bazaar in Vietnam, combined with a B2B denim supply chain show. The bazaar featured unique indigo and denim producers, especially boutique ones, attracting connoisseurs from Vietnam. A lot of fascinating denim products were displayed in this area.

    Seminars

    Participants were also invited to attend forums and seminars conducted by experts on various important denim-related topics. The primary goal was to provide valuable insights and ideas on how this framework can be utilized as an effective tool for business operations across different industries.     World’s First Biochemically Modified Pre Reduced Natural Indigo – Generation Next In Indigo

    This talk was given by Yawer Ali Shah – who is Co-Founder And CEO At AMA Herbal and he spoke in detail about how their biochemically modified pre reduced natural indigo.

    Chàmpions Of Indigo – The Future Is In The Past

    This was an interesting talk between Mitchell Vassie, a Fashion Designer and Educator, and Sam Thi Tinh, a traditional craftsperson from the village of Hoa Tien in Quy Chau. The discussion was a knowledge-sharing session led by the local artisan, focusing on the techniques they have been using in indigo.

    Jeaneration Z – Denim Trends In America – For 12-27 Years Age Group

    This talk was given by David Tring, a Visiting Fellow at the Hong Kong Design Institute and former VP of Lee Jeans Asia Pacific. It was a very interesting presentation related to denim trends.

    Weaving A Future: Connecting The Denim Industry And Education

    This was a panel discussion between David Tring, Visiting Fellow at the Hong Kong Design Institute and former VP of Lee Jeans Asia Pacific; Mitchell Vassie, Fashion Designer and Educator; Dileepa Marasinghege, Associate Vice President of Global Technical Services at MGF Sourcing (Far East) Limited; Michael Lam, CEO of Advance Denim in Hong Kong; and Corinna Joyce, Senior Programme Manager at RMIT.     Perspectives On Ground Realities: Monologues By Fibres And Indigo

    A very interesting skit by Mr. Sukhraj Singh  Founder & Director , Indenium School of Responsible Design and their students took place. Through a skit, the Indenium team brought out the role of various fibers in our industry and daily life. It was a personable presentation which drew loud applauses from the attendees . Being the ONLY DENIM SCHOOL in this region, there was a special flavour and support for the school from the whole fraternity.

    Denimsandjeans India – Post Show Report 2023

    Denimsandjeans India show ,that was organized on April 26-27 , 2023 , was an incredible success ! We were privileged to have some of the most recognized denim supply chain companies from over 12 countries around the world come together and present their world-class products. The visitors got to witness the best in fashion, technology and innovation that this gathering had to offer. The enthusiasm of our partners’ presence created a vibrant atmosphere for everyone in attendance. The event had special arrangements which gave the visitors more options when it came to choosing their favorite products. To add on, we had interactive seminars by industrial experts .

    A two-day event held in India recently drew significant attention from more than 250 companies with an influx of attendees from nearby countries also . With its huge success, this event was had more than 1350 visitors came along to experience first-hand the Denimsmandjeans platform. The event provided an ideal atmosphere for exhibitors and visitors to view different products, discuss strategies and collaborate with other businesses.

    There was no shortage of popular brands and retailers participating in the event and showcasing their products. The event was attended by companies such as Gap, Allen Solly, Pepe Jeans, Landmark Group, Levi’s , Asmara, etc to name a few.

    Event Theme

    This year, we came up with an innovative theme ‘REPURPOSED DENIM’ to promote sustainable fashion by bringing focus on upcycling pre-loved and vintage denim into new fibers, yarns, fabrics and garments. Moreover, numerous activities were organized that kept people engaged.

    We had also set up a live indigo vat dyeing workshop by Indenium School of Responsible Design – India’s first Denim School where people got to experience real indigo dyeing techniques showcased by some passionate students. The students also brought out wonderful pieces of garments based on ‘Repurposed Denim’ theme and were highly appreciated.

    Trend Area

    The 5th edition of DnJ India had a Trend Area at its event which showcased the Repurposed theme. The collections that were on display in this event featured majorly five categories:

    • Re_Cycle(d) which had 2 parts Recycled PCW 20+ and Recycled PCW 30+, Cotton (IS) Less , Eco-Trims (for sustainable material content), Eco-Wash (for products used minimum water, chemicals and energy ) and Performatic (for performance jeans), Trendy And Cool (for eye catching garments) .

    Each of these categories is reflective of the latest trends and provide customers with clothing that had both look and functionality.

    Seminars

    Participants were also invited to join forums and seminars conducted by experts on different topics related to important denim topics. The primary goal was to provide useful insights and ideas on how this framework can be used as an effective tool for business operations in various industries.

    With the rise of global competition in the denim apparel industry, it has become increasingly difficult for Indian Denim brands to remain relevant in the market. Recognizing this, Mr Nidhi Raj’s recent talk on “Opportunities and Challenges for Indian Denim” provided a helpful insight into how these chanlleges can be overcome through both local and global solutions. His talk highlighted how, with the right approach, Indian Denim Brands can continue to make innovative contributions to the global denim market and reclaim their original status.

    Sustainable and innovative processes are essential for successful businesses, and this was made clear at a special talk on the same topic last week. It was delivered by renowned speaker Vasco Pizarro where he highlighted how sustainable practices and innovation can shape the value chain for businesses today. Attendees were able to gain valuable advice from the seasoned speaker.

    • Vasco is the Marketing Director of Pizarro S.A from Portugal – a full package company which works with most of the brands in Europe and is the largest laundry in EU.

    Resilient Sri Lankan Apparel Industry Rebounds by Yasotharan Paramanantham

    Yasotharan Paramanantham recently delivered a captivating talk on the resilience of the Sri Lankan Apparel Industry, highlighting its remarkable recovery since being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. During his speech, Mr. Paramanantham, as President of the Sri Lanka Apparel Brands Association, focused attention on both traditional and upcoming challenges faced by the industries. He also spoke about how these challenges should be addressed in order to ensure continued successful operations of the industry in Sri Lanka’s future.

    Denim Forecast AW 24 – Puneet Dudeja WGSN

    Puneet Dudeja is the Business development lead for WGSN in South Asia. His talk titled Denim Forecast AW24 was delivered at this event where he provided an overview of the current trends, technologies and future forecasts for denim manufacturers. Attendees gained valuable insights about denim styles that stand out in the current marketplace so they can stay ahead of their competition.

    David Tring , with his rich background in the industry with top brands , has been focused on sustainability and education. His talk gave the audience global examples on waste recycling and inspired them. During his address, he demonstrated how other establishments have successfully leveraged on their waste to make innovative products that have a positive impact on the environment and profitability. He argued that it’s only a waste if you let it be so.

    The presentation by David Tring was followed by a panel discussion which had included besides him as moderator Sukhraj Singh (Founder at Indenium School of Responsible Design) and Ms. Aticka Chona -Business Partner & Principal: Sustainability Architect at Circular Fashion Pvt. Ltd.

    The discussion highlighted the importance of using resources wisely and making use of what is available to us. The participants discussed how all resources can be valuable, if used in the right way. They also discussed ideas for minimizing resource wastage, ways to mitigate its impact on our environment, and scenarios where a little bit of creativity can yield higher value out of resources that were previously considered to be “wasted”.
