G-Star Raw Mazarine Collection

With RAW Mazarine G-Star goes beyond the modern history of denim, unveiling the denim roots which go way further back than American workwear. Inspired by Toile de Chine, G-Star designed a range of double-dyed denim styles with an intense blue colour. Double dyed means that, unlike denim today, both the warp and the weft of the fabric are dipped in indigo. Since there are no real samples of Toile de Chine anymore, the G-Star denim designers reconstructed the initial colour. Toile de Chine is a particular fabric weave from the far East. It was imported into Europe and used to create some of the workwear in Europe. It was a tight weave and very durable. It made it a right choice for intense labor work as it did not stain due to both warp and weft being colored . And , of course , it was in Indigo. Its tough weave and durability made it an appropriate choice for the intense labor work.

G-star took all aspects including the number of dips in indigo, the tightness of the weaving, and fading experiments. That is also why none of RAW Mazarine fabric is alike and has multiple shades; it reflects the research conducted to recreate this fabric.

RAW RADAR ZIP OVERSHIRT

Mazarine overshirt in compact sateen with rounded hem and rivet pocket reinforcements. Snap placket conceals a zip. In compact, overdyed sateen.

Made from pure wool, the Raw Radar Garber jacket is fully lined, and trimmed with a raised collar and Radar pant inspired ticket pocket.
In densely woven wool with a subtle, twill weave effect.

ARC RAW ESSENTIALS JACKET

RAW Essentials Arc denim jacket made from exclusive Red Listing denim.

Denim Print from Zara | SS’13

Denim prints have been strong for last few seasons and continue to be so. A number of denim brands, retailers have been using this trend to bring out freshness to their collection. While some of them have been happy going bold, in your face prints, others have chosen a more subtle way of mixing prints with denim and played around with washes to achieve that subtility.

We are looking in this post how Zara is using the prints on denim in its current SSâ€™13 collection on sale(month of August , to be precise). Most of these prints are not multi colored or very bold and tend to blend with the right combination worn. Prints range from floral to geometrical, animal prints (subdued) , fancy , paisleys etc. These denim prints have been selected from their designs selling in different countries around the world.

Paisley Denim print ( France )

This paisley print on denim is a subtle look with light blue print merging with the dark indigo jeans color.

Geometrical Patterns ( Netherlands)

This jeans with large angled geometrical prints can be a good summer holiday trouser to match with some cool dark colored tees. Of course, its not everyoneâ€™s cup of cake.

Star printed denim (UK)

Star prints have been one of the most common design to go with denim. They have been seen in various shapes and sizes, mainly white color light and dark indigos. Consumers, specially female , have a fetish for shorts in UK and its not a surprise that the prints on these denim shorts are one of the popular products for Zara.

Geometrical squares on dark Indigo denim ( Netherlands)

A nice combination of square printed dark indigo menâ€™s shirt with green trousers from Zara in Netherlands.

Fancy prints (Spain)

Allover and heavy fancy prints to make it difficult to understand whether its denim or a normal printed fabric.

Animal print on reverse (Spain)

This is one of our favourite prints â€“ Leopard print â€“ on the reverse of the denim shirt. Just enough exposure for the print to be seen on the folded cuffs or near the collar on the reverse of front placket , creating that elusive look with a minor reflection on the front .

Casual shorts in Paisley print (US)

A cool looking casual elastic short with heavy bleach wash over white paisley print .

Another cool multi color but subdued print on a white ecru denim .

Floral print on the womenâ€™s denim shirt (UK)

Floral prints are mainly used for womenâ€™s shirts or bottoms and this shirt is again a reflection of combination of light wash to reduce the contrast between the print and the background indigo color.

Acid wash look print (Germany)

This jegging selling in Germany has an acid washed look from the print and it looks like it has been acid washed. Cool!

Leopard print waist on jeans(USA)

Its easy to say whether this guy is wearing a leather belt with leopard look. But its actually a printed denim used on the waist to give this look and to keep people guessing.

Each season, the brand develops the most interesting fabrics with the best mills from around the world. Denim is sourced from US, Japanese and Italian mills whereas materials like hand waxed leathers come from Italy. Every garment is cut, sewn and finished using the best methods available. Some itemsÂ can evenÂ take a few days to make. Eg the shirts are sewn using single needle construction. LMC tries to use indigo and denim in new and unexpected ways. Their denim is hand finished by the best laundries in the world.

Miles Johnson, the design director of LMCÂ talks about the how their SS13 collection was named â€œ Painted Desertâ€ and how the elements of desert were incorporated in this collection. The inspiration from deserts translates into vibrant desert colors of sand or of setting sun or of blazing fire bringing out an interesting collection in different fabrics including selvedge denims with neps, desert colored jeans, irregular texture of sand represented through various kinds of washing effects â€“ even using tie and dye â€“ and many more experiments. Prints have been used to bring out desired desert looks in many pieces. SS ‘13 Denim Collections -2

Guess Spring 2013 Men’s Lookbook

Here is the new Spring 2013 >GUESS look book for the men. This season featured some ombre and prints all in various colorways as more. Although these are new to the brand, these styles all carried the classic soul of the company as the pieces were kept sleek and can easily be worn from day to night. The impact of colors and prints could be seen on menâ€™s collection too. Guess, though a conservative brand, has played with these elements in the menâ€™s collection too.. LEVI’S VINTAGE CLOTHING SPRING SUMMER 2013 – LOOKBOOK

The Leviâ€™s Vintage Clothing (LVC) focuses on the rediscovery of vintage Leviâ€™s fashions from the past and presenting them as modern garments for the consumer who acutely aware of their history.
