Patchwork Denim–FDMTL SS’19 Collection

FDMTL produces exquisite patchworked denim garments inÂ Japan with the tagline â€œA Product that is attached enough to wearâ€Â The brands produces finely detailed product that cannot be imitated in mass production. FDMTL’s denim is all made in Japan. As per the brand story from FDMTL, their denim goes through a lot of processes, and each one is unique. Creation starts after setting the concept, such as the occupation, the place, and the age of the person who wore these denims, so as not to be an unbalanced and unnatural expression. Because each of the applied processing has a reason, you can create a deep expression like vintage denim that goes beyond mere design. It is a space that is free from efficiency, and can be finished with manual gaps while repeating trial and error.

The brand now returned with SS19 Patchwork denim collection with a boom in the industry. With friendly staples, stitched layers , patchworked mesh , distressed patterns , the brand launched the spring summer collecton.

The collection showcased Japanese boro (Japanese upcycled patchwork) applied to jackets, coats , shirts and jeans and sashiko detailing (rows of dense, organized stitches) on jackets and pants.The denim with printed patchworks and designs are presented through jackets , t-shirts and jeans complying with the Japanese summer freshness.

J Brand Teams Up With Japanese Designer Kozaburo For Special SS 19 Collection

As a part of the third installment of Spring 2019 Collection, California Based Denim Label â€“ J Brand collaborated with Tokyo-born Kozaburo Akasaka who has designed a special capsule of reconstructed, sustainable denim styles. Akasaka is a fashion graduate from prestigious Saint Martins College of Art and was under the training of famous designer Thom Browne. In 2017, he also won LVMH Special Prize Prix.

The collection features 5 different pieces- Iris, Mallory, Sapphire, Jolene, and Penny Lane, named after Akasakaâ€™s favorite characters from movies, books, and novels. Akasaka reworked J BRAND’s archival deadstock material, adding seams, contrast top-stitching, and exposed zippers to this super high-rise wide-leg silhouette. Other distinct design elements such as frays, tears, exaggerated thread detail, and architectural shapes make each piece unique. The collection is priced from $428 to $498 and will be available globally by the end of March 2019 on the J Brand e-store and at Barneys New York and Lane Crawford.

Acne Studios’ American Style SS19 Collection

Acne StudioÂ is well known for men’s and women’s ready to wear fashion,accessories and of course denimÂ . Their new jeans collection under the name Acne Studios BlÃ¥ Konst (meaning “Blue Art” in Swedish) has recently been launched at all of their retail locations and on Acnestudios.com. The Spring / Summer 2019 collection by Acne Studios featured the 90â€™s American style workwear collection regenerating jeanswear from 1996 and 1997. This classic collection includes various variety of denim viz. patched denim, blue indigo, pink denim jacket , used black jacket, ivory white jacket , multiple shades of blue with two tone denim etc. The collection showcased jackets, dresses, hip length jackets, long sleeved shirts and much more. The contrasting stitched buttonholes on the jacket ,with exposed threads jackets , indigo denim patchwork culottes with wide legs denims exhibit perfectly in the saturated denim collection. Some of the lovelier pieces like the one in pink with indigo stains stand out ! . So do the mix panels and two tone tops and baggy trousers.

Hilfigerâ€™s latest Spring 2019 collection revealed the attractive collection that can you can shop right away at Nordstrom. Tommy Hilfiger and the actress/singer Zendaya teamed up to present the latest ready-to-wear spring collection in the Paris Fashion Week. The collection called TOMMYNOW is inspired by the 1970sÂ American Pop Culture which is available inÂ more than 70 countries in the world. The collection was showcasedÂ at ThÃ©Ã¢tre des Champs-Ã‰lysÃ©es with super models like Grace Jones,Pat Cleveland, Beverly Johnson ,Beverly Peele, Veronica Webb etc who graced the runway with these cultured designs.

The event witnessed the combination of vibrant colors, bell bottoms, dresses and lots of DENIM. Denim was presented in blazErs, suits, dresses, skirts and much more. The North Face Urban Exploration has recently unveiled its SS’19 collection which is named -Â TECH DENIM. Based on the concept of Gender Free fashion, this unisex collection is offering all-day comfort and versatility using the Invista â€œCOOLMAXÂ® technology which is known for its moisture-wicking and breathability features, keeping the wearer dry and cool.â€

The design takes you on a nostalgic tour as each article of this collection is inspired byÂ 90s oversized silhouettes,mid-indigo denim-washes, bigÂ long-sleeve blouse,Â andÂ wide-leg denim pants. The collection goes against the norms of double denim usage – using different shades and tenor of blues for top and bottom – and displays subdued blues for both. The company has a clear understanding as to how recycling is so important in the existing phenomenon and hence through GARNETTING process, it is recycling 900,000 kilograms of used fabric and saving the same from going to landfills.

Meanwhile, manufactures should find out the processes of major wastage of water and solution for the same. LNJ has developed a Waste Water Management through which it is saving 1350 kiloliters of water per day.
