Denimsandjeans pioneered the first show in Bangladesh in 2014 and repeated the same again in Vietnam was with its launch in launched in June 2016 .

We feel happy to announce the dates of the Second Edition of our Vietnam show which is scheduled to happen on June 7-8, 2017 with the theme Street Style at Gem Center, Ho Chi Minh City. The Denimsandjeans Shows bring a platform for the global denim community to come together at different sourcing locations making it easy for the sourcing community to plan their buying of denim and related apparel from that particular location. Taking forward the idea of creating new and innovative platforms for the global denim community, we also created the first Global Online Denim show which was launched recently . It is again an innovative approach to increase the “Speed to market” and reduce the “Information gaps and delays”between the denim mills and buyers.

The sixth edition of Denimsandjeans.com Bangladesh shall be held on October 5-6 ,2016 at Radisson Blue , Dhaka with a theme – VINTAGE RECALL.

After launching the first denim show in Bangladesh, we have in the past three years successfully managed to bring the International Mills to a platform where they could watch the Denim Industry of Bangladesh . The objective behind this show has been always to showcase the importance of Bangladesh in the global denim industry . The 5th edition which ended on March 3rd ,2016 at Dhaka , has received a very positive response from all the exhibitors as well as from the visitors. The two days of this denim show started with the opening remarks by honorable Dr. Gauhar Rizvi ( Advisor to PM) followed by representatives of some reputed business communities.

Denimsandjeans is not limited to being  a trade show but is a denim event where a number of activities take place and bring together the global  denim fraternity where they can share their views , ideas , new technologies , business propositions etc. and enable a closer bonding among them. The 5th show was no exception and a number of events took place including seminars, live video conferences, student competitions etc. This time the live video conferences by reputed denim designer Mr. Leopoldo Durante and Owner of Pizarro Laundries – Mr. Vasco Pizzaro , not only set a new benchmark but also showed the perfect blend of quality and technology together.

The show had 30 exhibitor companies from Brazil, India, Bangladesh, Switzerland, Pakistan, China, Turkey, Indonesia, UAE and had over 1620 visitors.The highlight among the buyers’ visit  was that of Diesel Teams from Italy and India to the show and specially when it was the first of its kind in this region by the team.  455  companies and over 1620 visitors  from around the world  visited the show, among them being important retailers, buying houses, major factories , agents etc.

From Denim Playground Dhaka to Denim Hi-Fashion , we have always kept experimenting with new themes with every edition and this time since the entire denim fraternity is celebrating #100Years of collaboration of Cone Mill with Levis , therefore in a mark of respect , Vintage Recall is a little tribute to the vintage nature of denim which is expressing itself through repeated forays by designers into the past in an effort to recreate it. The trend is getting stronger and the ORIGINALITY of denim is getting vogue again . The Vintage Recall not only talks about the Vintage era but it will also talk as to why we need to go back to our traditional method of production in order to achieve the Sustainability in an absolute term.

Denim is a playground where the denim artists of the world play and let loose their imaginations on this ever changing canvas of the most beautiful fabric devised. Starting as workwear , the fabric is now facing the ‘Athleisure Threat’ as many would say. But it is only in challenge that denim has thrived. Challenge continuously raises the bar for this versatile fabric and pushes the ‘Denim Players’ to jump notches above it as athletes do in a playground. The more they stretch themselves, more the denim evolves !

The fourth edition of Denimsandjeans.com Bangladesh , scheduled to be held on 7th and 8th October (2015) at Radisson Dhaka, derives its inspiration from these ‘Denim Players’ and has aptly selected ‘Denim Playground’ as its theme. . The theme of the show shall be ‘Denim Playground Dhaka’ where coolest exhibitors from around the world shall bring out their sporty innovations to the visitors who travel long distances to visit the show. It shall be a ‘PLAYGROUND FOR DENIM LOVERS’.

Denimsandjeans Bangladesh always adds some seminars and panel discussions by reputed industry veterans from around the world so that the visitors can get more value from the show. Given the importance of washing in the denim industry , some seminars technical aspects of the washing in our panel discussions and seminars. Seminar with Questions and Answers interacting with an expert panel . An opportunity to hear of recent developments in washing chemistry and technology and to discuss what is practical and possible with denim washing plant operators and managers based in Bangladesh.
Promotion of Social and Environmental Standards in the Industry (PSES) is a programme assisted by the German Government via the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH

3. Bridging research in cellulose chemistry for denim applications.

Acticell (Ltd.) was founded as a spin-off of the University of Innsbruck in Austria. The company focuses on cellulose chemistry research and develops eco-friendly solutions for the denim industry .This talk will give an overview about new concepts for the denim industry — mainly in localized bleaching of jeans and creation of new dyeing effects besides a new concept in eco friendly bleaching of jeans.
