Colombia has been known for its innovation in the denim world and constantly investing its resources in R&D to bring new innovation in line with global trends. The country has over 12Â trade agreements which allows this country a preferential access to EU , Canada and Mexico . The country is under negotiation to sign a bilateral trade agreement with Japan and Turkey also. The country is demographically rich and thus enjoying the demographical dividend due to its proximity to Panama Canal which paves a smooth connection between the East Coast of the U.S. and Asia.
Further to our previous reports, we are providing here a special report on the buyers in Colombia who are importing denim fabrics from around the world. The contents of the report are as below :

Top 10 denim buyers Of Colombia During August- September 2017Â
During the month of August – September 2017 , Top 10 buyers of Colombia imported 2.37 Million Sq. Meter of Denim Fabric out of which 495,857 Sq. Meter imported by Colombian Trade SA at an average price of USD 1.02/ Sq. Meter which is a very low price. Stilotex is the second biggest buyer which imported 399,522 Sq. Meter of Denim at an average price of USD 1.74/Sq.Meter. We must remember when we look at prices of imports into Colombia . Sometimes, they do not reflect the actual price as for custom duty avoidance , some buyers show less price than actual . Also since the prices are in sq mtrs, the actual price per mtr can be much higher if the width is 150 cm or more.

Sangam Limited from India is the biggest supplier to Colombian Trade which exported 357,836 Sq. Meter at an average price of USD 1.04/Sq. Meter . Zhejiang Xinlan Textile from China supplied 138,020 Sq. Meter at an average price of USD 0.96/Sq. Meter .

Poonam Enterprises from Hong Kong is the biggest supplier to Stilotex which exported 385,349 Sq. Meter at an average price of USD 1.74/Sq. Meter . Changzhou Kailan Textile from China supplied 14,173 Sq. Meter at an average price of USD 1.62/Sq. Meter .

Surti Jeans is 3rd biggest buyer of Colombia during August-September 2017 with a total import of 249,585 Sq. Meter of denim fabric . The sole supplier of Surti Jeans is Sangam India which supplied fabric at an average price of USD 0.94/Sq. Meter .

4. PRODUCER OF TEXTILES SA Tocancipá TOPTEX SA
Producer of Textile SA Tocancipa Toptex SAÂ is the 4th biggest buyer of Colombia during August-September 2017 with a total import of 234,152 Sq. Meter of denim fabric . The sole supplier of Producer of Textile SA Tocancipa Toptex is Globaltex Import and Export which supplied fabric at an average price of USD 1.19/Sq. Meter .
