Wrangler Denims, a popular brand of denim, collaborated with Deadfellaz, a high PFP NFT challenge, to offer a contest using a “Choose Your Own Adventure” approach.

Numerous businesses and brands have invested in NFT initiatives, blockchain technology, and the metaverse. However, probably not as much as in fashion. Over the past several months, a number of fashion labels have entered Web3, indicating that the industry’s interest is only growing.

Wrangler won’t be making its first foray into the NFT region. The denim brand worked with Grammy Award winner Leon Bridges and NFT market LTD.INC earlier this year to launch the “Mr. Wrangler”. During a press event, the company revealed how it is dipping into its origins with a Spring ’22 women’s collection packed with classic Western prints and Americana elements. This assortment is an addition to the “For the Ride of Life” advertising campaign for the fall/winter 2021 season, which honors ordinary people who seek new adventures with enthusiasm and optimism. A SNEAK-PEAK OF WHAT THE COLLECTION OFFERS

Rich, earthy hues like mineral pink and aloe green exemplify the collection and blend in with natural themes. While the majority of the colors are inspired by nature, the collection also incorporates striping, rainbow, and psychedelic patterns, which are becoming popular worldwide as post-pandemic customers explore their style and color limits. The Barrell, a tapered wide leg, and the Rock, a cropped kick flare, are two new styles for spring in Wrangler’s Heritage line, which already comprises six pairs of vintage women’s denim silhouettes. Frayed high-rise “festival shorts,” carpenter shorts, and relaxed-fit shorts in a variety of colors emerge in the spring collection.

In a quarterly report, the brand revealed plans to double down on the outdoor segment, adding two new distributors in the space: Academy Sports + Outdoors, an American sporting goods store network, and Intersport, a Swiss sports goods retailer. It has just introduced the Wrangler Angler collection, which strives to be the go-to gear choice for men and women who like fishing.

Men’s Western designs feature prominently as well, displayed by a statement resort shirt in a desert cowboy-style showcasing cactus and horses. Western denim shirting and graphic T-shirts have similar silhouettes all over. A selection of cargo shorts in neutral hues like copper, asphalt, and wood, as well as camouflage pattern, highlight the outdoor time.

ThredUp and Madewell Open Brooklyn Pop-Up Shop Featuring Exclusively Secondhand Clothes

ThredUp is attempting to bring shopping full circle. The online consignment and thrift retailer opened an in-person pop-up shop in collaboration with Madewell, which is wholly loaded with secondhand clothing. The store, which is located in Brooklyn, New York, is a limited-edition extension of the online Madewell Forever denim resale program, which debuted in July. Customers will discover an assortment of 100% secondhand Madewell items supplied from ThredUp within the pop-up. Denim, skirts, coats, sweaters, shirts, and other pieces range widely from $10 to $40.

The aim is to extend the lifespan of garments while also challenging the existing retail structure. The shop, for example, has QR codes at each clothing station, allowing ThredUp to provide a deep dive into how to buy, wear, care for, and pass on environmentally friendly apparel. According to Thredup’s 2021 Resale Report and Green Story Inc. study, every time a buyer purchases used rather than new, carbon emissions are decreased by 82%. Visitors can bring their garments to be properly mended on-site in addition to buying. The store also sells clothing that may be customized on-site for a perfect fit. Myntra ties with the Better Cotton Initiative.

The largest Indian platform for fashion e-commerce Myntra said on Tuesday that it has collaborated with Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) and would source cotton for its in-house brands’ clothing through the worldwide non-profit organization. According to a statement, Myntra intends to get around 50% of its cotton demand from BCI over the next five to seven years. BCI has one of the largest cotton sustainability programs in the world, intending to make cotton cultivation sustainable. During the previous cotton season, BCI and its partners taught approximately 2.7 million cotton farmers sustainable techniques that use fewer pesticides and water to maximize agricultural efficiency.

“Through this collaboration, Myntra will initially get 10% of its cotton demand from BCI, to increase that to 50% during the following five to seven years. To make adoption, scaling, and measuring easier, a mass balance approach would be used, in which Better Cotton would be blended with traditional cotton throughout the supply chain “According to the statement. While this means Better Cotton cannot be physically traced to final goods, BCI farmers will profit from the demand for Better Cotton in proportion to its sources, according to the statement. Better Cotton currently accounts for 23% of worldwide cotton output, with BCI’s almost 70 implementing partners quickly adapting their methods to changing conditions during the COVID-19 epidemic, according to the organization.

US’ Wrangler collaborates with Infinited Fiber Company for sustainable denim

Wrangler has collaborated with Infinited Fiber Company to include Infinna – regenerated, recyclable fibers – into its Infinited Blue FW21 line, its most sustainable denim ever. It also includes Indigood, foam-dye technology to reduce effluent by over 99 per cent, and an e-flow finishing process.

The sustainable denim is composed of Infinna, a premium fiber that has a comparable feel to regular denim’s soft-yet-durable cotton but is manufactured from textile waste. Conventional cotton cultivation is notorious for consuming a lot of water and pesticides, but Infinna can be made using a fraction of the water by utilizing responsible chemistry, according to a joint press statement from the two firms. Indigood Foam-Dye eliminates traditional indigo dyeing’s traditional water vats and chemical baths, while e-flow technology employs nanobubbles to transport chemical products more efficiently throughout the fabric’s finishing process, resulting in a smaller environmental impact.

ORTA’s VR Experience Launch Aids Carbon Footprint Reduction Goals

ORTA launched an online virtual reality (VR) experience earlier in 2021, where partners could take a virtual hot air balloon flight and see new denim materials. Beyond the objective of providing sensations of relaxation and “zenfulness,” the actual purpose of the VR experience is to expand the denim manufacturer’s sustainability drive to minimize waste. The tool, created in partnership with virtual reality company Muse VR, is one of the most recent additions to ORTA’s “New Denim Route,” a supplier and resource platform meant to increase transparency in the denim production process.

Wrangler launched its limited collection named 27406 collection using the last of the selvedge denims produced by Cone. 27406 Collection , named after the zip code where the denim is cut and sewn in the Wrangler’s hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina, is crafted by Wrangler’s team of skilled sewers and fabric cutters. The collection uses denim from the Cone Denim® White Oak Plantâ„¢ and the expert sewing and fabric cutting team from the Wrangler Service Support Center crafted each piece for the collection. The selvedge styles are constructed from denim woven recently in White Oak.

Denim in hand, the team cut the fabric and hand-stitched the belt loops, pockets, signature W, and iconic Wrangler patch. Once complete, each piece is stamped on the inside, numbered and signed off on by the sewer who completed it. For this collection, the Wrangler Service Support Center acted as a small manufacturing facility with the design creation, fabric development and manufacturing happening within a 3-mile radius.

Look for the signature detail of the selvedge edge on the inside waistband, inner cuff and front placket. On each jacket, you’ll find four unique features: an American flag sewn into the waist, and a riser label above the left chest pocket. Finally, the defining “W” stitch on the front pockets, inspired by cattle-branding. The “W” first appeared on the pockets of Wrangler jeans in 1947, signifying “Western Wear.”

Hudson’s workplace closes. He and a few others buy several of the sewing machines, lease space above a downtown grocery store and incorporate as the Hudson Overall Company. Legend has it that a group of railroad workers who bought overalls at the Hudson store gave C.C. Hudson a bell, and after spending time in the factory, the bell – like everything else – became covered in blue denim dust, hence “Blue Bell”.

Wrangler authentic western jeans, designed by celebrity tailor Rodeo Ben, are introduced to the American consumer. Professional rodeo cowboys Jim Shoulders, Bill Linderman and Freckles Brown wear-test the 13MWZ and endorse the Wrangler name for durability, quality and authenticity.

1948

Jim Shoulders, World Champion Cowboy, signs on as an official endorsee of Wrangler. He goes on to win a total of 16 world championships, including five All-Around, seven Bull Riding and four Bareback Riding World Titles.

Blue Bell mergers with VF Corporation of Pennsylvania, making VF one of the two largest jeans makers in the world, with 25% of the , then, $6 billion market. The market has since grown more than 10 times with denim spreading its wings around the world and no brand in a position now to have such a large share of the market.
