Ajrak Technology by ARTISTIC Fabric Mills
Artistic Fabric Mills (AFM) has developed a ground-breaking indigo piece-dyeing process for denim called Ajrak Technology. The new dyeing technology produces denim fabrics with rich shades and luster that designers often seek but do not easily find. AFM combines fashion fabrics with over 4,000 years of indigo dyeing history in Indus Valley, Pakistan and invites the world design community to explore the lost indigo history of South Asia. Ajrak Technology was developed by AFM’s technicians along with craftsmen who hand dye indigo in the Indus Valley using family techniques passed from generation to generation.
