Stain Free White Jeans from Joe’s Jeans

White Jeans has been of the flavours this summer as it has been so many times before.The jeans look elegant and combine with most colours to give a great summer or even a party look. However, the biggest drawback in wearing these jeans is the issue of staining making one very conscious and reserved while being in them.
To do away with this drawback Joeâ€™s Jeans brings out a new line of stain resistant white denim, appropriately named Play Dirty, Stay Spotless which repels coffee, oil, soda and even red wine.. The brand claims that the stain free character of the jeans lasts for twenty home laundries and is very effective repelling all kinds of stains. Though there have been many previous efforts at bringing out stain free jeans, this one looks cool.

However, the denim line, which ranges from $145 for jean shorts to $189 for an office-appropriate trouser style, does come with a disclaimer: The garment will not repel pigment-based colour stains such as makeup, nail polish, lip gloss and paint.

The company however says that if staining may occur with liquids containing colour, these stains can be removed easily when dry cleaned.

Nicola Formichetti’s Diesel Collection

Nicola Formichetti took over as creative director of Diesel in Marchâ€™13, he brought out a capsule collection in Decemberâ€™13 and now his first complete collection has been launched.
He unveiled his first full collection for Diesel in Venice earlier this month : indicating homage to the heritage of the brand.
Formichetti divided the catwalk spectacular into three sections; leather, denim and military – the three themes Diesel is best known for.

He enjoys a close relationship with Renzo Rosso, the founder of Diesel and that is one of the key to his understanding of Diesel DNA.
The last capsule collection was assembled entirely by hand with piece-by-piece construction in Italy and used lot of embroideries, patch works and other elements form brandâ€™s past.This collection, though not hand made, has reconstructive and decorative elements from Dieselâ€™s history.Paint looks specialized acid washes and fun decorations on denim are other key features.it remains to be seem whether these looks will be appreciated by their die hard fans.

Replay SS’ 14 Men’s Denim Lookbook

The coming Spring Summer 2014 denim collection of Replay has lots of ripped and destroyed shirts and jackets. They use some eye catching styles and details and styles including slouchier jeans,Â heavy sprays and bleaches, some patchwork , creating two tones using multiple fabrics and very contrasting washes on the upper and lower parts of the jeans. Subdued patterns in prints are visible mainly in the shirts and double , triple denims combinations are created using combinations of indigo casts and colors, prints etc and can be very pleasing for consumers (and denim suppliers!). Replay men’s summer lookbook is about good old work wear inspired outfits. Grunge inspiration is visible on the collection , but distressing on jeans seems to be missing. The styles are casual and models look at ease â€“ giving an original appearance. Colors are conspicuous by their absence except for one nice red color jeans.

Siwy–SS’14 Denim Lookbook

The Spring/Summer look book and collection from Siwy takes a bleached and distressed route. Most of their jeans are distressed and shredded â€“ a bit too much. However, the locale of the shot is interesting.Â The look book is shot at an aeroplane hanger and features a white private jet. Nothing says exclusivity,taste and elegance like high end luxury denim and a private jet.Â The look book features bleached out white denims, some colors, lot of metallics and printed denim.Sequins, studs, mirrors, and metallics are used to add glitter to the jeans. Summer shorts dominate the look book and overalls make their presence felt in the collection.

Calvin Klein SS’ 14 Women’s Lookbook

Calvin Klein came up with its Womenâ€™s SS’14 Collection. While grey seems to be the new in-color , boy friend looks have been used in jeans and trousers . Double and triple denim are easily carried off by models withÂ different interesting fabric, color and washÂ combinations using fabrics like chambrays , raw and super stretches , colors like white , grey and dark unwashed indigo and washes going upto super bleaches. Trucker jackets add further spice to the collection.

Diesel Tribute – The first Denim Collection by Nicola Formichetti

Nicola Formichetti became the artistic director of Diesel in Marchâ€™14 and we already see his imprints though a new capsule collection â€“ Diesel Tribute– launched last month. Nicolas Formichetti explored Diesel archives in the brand’s Italian hometown of Breganze for inspiration creating a hand-made collection of unique pieces playing on raw and faded fabrics. The capsule range includes new avatars from the famous western shirt and jackets and well as embroidered pieces from the brandâ€™s past.

This is a a tightly edited collection comprised of garments that have been assembled entirely by hand with piece-by-piece construction in Italy; and a revolutionary campaign to bring the history alive with an unprecedented communication language.

The manual process , of course , made the collection creation much more tough .For instance, manual stud and detailed hand-stitched patch application restricts production to only three pieces completed per day, and make this range extremely special. The #DIESELTRIBUTE collection , contains 45 pieces of both men’s and womenswear, and uses two main materials â€“ denim and leather.

The iconic fabric patches used in the denim collection have been taken from the past Diesel collections with rock inspirations and restyled purposefully for this capsule. In an added touch, Diesel pays tribute to its Italian heritage in each garment by adding red, white and green buttons to the pieces. Attention to details is a hallmark of the collection. And the campaign to launch this collection has been unique using social media to the hilt targetting all major sites including Tumblr, Instagram etcâ€“ creating the special images which went viral on the social media. And , of course, , its worth mentioning that it was shot entirely on iPhone!

G-Star Raw Mazarine Collection

With RAW Mazarine G-Star goes beyond the modern history of denim, unveiling the denim roots which go way further back than American workwear. Inspired by Toile de Chine, G-Star designed a range of double-dyed denim styles with an intense blue colour. Double dyed means that, unlike denim today, both the warp and the weft of the fabric are dipped in indigo. Since there are no real samples of Toile de Chine anymore, the G-Star denim designers reconstructed the initial colour. Toile de Chine is a particular fabric weave from the far East. It was imported into Europe and used to create some of the workwear in Europe. It was a tight weave and very durable. It made it a right choice for intense labor work as it did not stain due to both warp and weft being colored . And , of course , it was in Indigo. Its tough weave and durability made it an appropriate choice for the intense labor work.

G-star took all aspects including the number of dips in indigo, the tightness of the weaving, and fading experiments. That is also why none of RAW Mazarine fabric is alike and has multiple shades; it reflects the research conducted to recreate this fabric.
